Practice Manager

West Feliciana Hospital is seeking to fill a Physicians’ Practice Management position to oversee and grow the operations for a multi-physician based practice.  The position would be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the practice while working collaboratively with physicians, management, and employees to ensure efficient and cost effective operations that meet the community needs.  The Practice Manager will also be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of the operational budget, including expenditures, personnel, and all aspects of the revenue cycle; establishing and monitoring quality and quantity benchmarks; and handling patient concerns; etc.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a medical practice with a strong knowledge of financial management, including the revenue cycle. A Bachelor’s degree in business or health care management required but can be substituted with 5 years of medical management experience.  An MBA or masters in healthcare management preferred.  Competitive salary and benefits package offered. Chief Executive Officer 

The NeuroMedical Center Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana seeks a qualified individual to serve as Chief Executive Officer. The Clinic CEO manages a physician-owned, multidisciplinary neuroscience clinic comprised of 29 physicians and over 200 employees, an accredited Imaging Center and Neurodiagnostic Lab, Outpatient Therapy Center, and 6 neurosurgery satellite clinics. Specialties include but are not limited to neurosurgery, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), pain medicine, neuropsychology, clinical psychology, and neuroradiology.  The NeuroMedical Center Clinic is known regionally for its neurosurgery, multiple sclerosis (MS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and stroke care programs.

The Clinic CEO leads the development and execution of the Clinic’s short term and long term business strategy.  The CEO acts as a liaison between management, the Clinic’s Board of Directors, and area hospitals. This leader will work collaboratively with the physicians to foster strong relationships while efficiently managing practice costs and enhancing productivity in delivery of patient services.  The CEO will work closely with NeuroMedical Center leadership to ensure high quality, safe clinical care is provided to the 120,000 patients seen by the practice annually.  The Clinic CEO also manages the 120,000 square foot Medical Office Building, which houses the Clinic and four other tenants.

The Clinic CEO shall have a strong background in financial analysis and reporting, a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (advanced health management degree preferred), and a minimum of 10 years of practice management experience in a large clinic or hospital setting. Senior Billing Specialist 

Renal Associates has an immediate opening for a Senior Billing Specialist.  The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of medical billing experience, and a desire to grow as a leader.  Coder certification and experience in developing and implementing billing processes is preferred. This individual will act as team lead to billing department staff, oversee billing functions, facilitate external relationships, oversee maintenance of practice management system and participate heavily in managing month end closing activities, in addition to posting insurance payments, working insurance denials and assisting patients with billing issues.

 

Working hours are 8-4:30 Monday through Friday at our main clinic off Essen near Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.

Children’s International Medical Group is currently seeking a strong leader to join our team as the Chief Financial Officer.

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The CFO is an integral part of the senior leadership team and expected to participate in the financial and functional decision making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the company’s financial goals. The CFO has responsibility and is accountable for overall financial operations and is responsible for all aspects of the day to day fiscal management of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures that monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensures that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and in compliance with company policies and standards and that any outstanding variances are identified and corrected timely.
  • Prepares and analyses reports (Forecasts, break-even analysis, budgeting) timely and accurately.
  • Ensures all accounting and business office policies and required internal controls are in place to facilitate a clean audit with no material audit adjustments or deficiencies found. Ensures that all approval processes are in place.
  • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected timely and that uncompensated services and financial loses are kept to a minimum. Strives to achieve goals for cash collections and AR days and to reduce bad debt and denials. Routinely reviews revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of federal, state and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure that facility is paid accurately and revenue deductions are recorded accurately. Company preparation of any required cost reports.
  • Oversees Billing department, accounts payable and other departments assigned by the CEO. Ensures department is adequately staffed and trained.
  • Ensures compliance with Group Purchasing contract and monitors purchases to ensure supply costs are kept to budgeted levels.
  • Prepares annual operating budget and participates in the annual strategic planning process which serves as a basis for the budget. Provides ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assists the CEO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
  • Prepares annual capital budgets and Capital Equipment Requests. Ensures assets and related depreciation is recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.
  • Provides financial leadership and guidance to company managers. Trains managers on financial matters and provides routine feedback regarding department performance.
  • Provides financial expertise in planning new ventures and advices CEO on risk/benefits.
  • Works as a partner with the Executive Team and ensures that there is an open line of communication and positive interaction.
  • Initiates and negotiates existing contracts with healthcare organizations and other business development activities to ensure net revenue maximization.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of healthcare industry trends and changes and ensures facility is prepared and compliant.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business related field with major in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Proven financial analysis skills.
  • Experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company staff and providers.
  • Ability to lead with a high degree of emotional intelligence and ethics

Job location is Slidell LA Salary based on experience.  General range $40,000-$60,000
