Louisiana Medical Group Management Association
The Northlake Medical Group Management Association was formed in 1988 when several local managers got together to network and share ideas related to medical practice management. The group was officially incorporated in the State of Louisiana as a non-profit organization in 1995, and has grown considerably over the years.
We hold lunch meetings every other month (see schedule below) with an educational speaker; we also host a half-day seminar in the Spring, and another one in the Fall. The meetings are held at area restaurants or meeting facilities. Our speakers cover important topics including managed care, Medicare updates, risk management, HIPAA, billing and collections, coding, human resources and more.
WHY Northlake MGMA MATTERS
Demands on management in the healthcare setting are constantly changing, and we are continually challenged to expand our capabilities. The Northlake MGMA organization allows us the means to network with our peers, share ideas and further our knowledge of medical practice management.
