Revenue is a practice’s life blood. Traditional methods of reimbursement are being abandoned. ACA, MACRA and recent policy has fast-tracked the shift of healthcare payment from volume- to value-based reimbursement. This session will explore the waters of payment transformation through the use of data and essential strategies and technologies associated with alternative payment models (APMs) and the merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS) as set forth under MACRA.

Six years post-Affordable Care Act (ACA) we have a plethora of value-based payment programs entering mainstream healthcare economics. In April 2015, this transformation accelerated when Congress passed the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) establishing two data-driven payment tracks: alternative payment models (APMs) or the merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS). Commercial payers are deploying such payment reform programs, as well. Join Adele Allison as she explores payment transformation through the use of data. With the proper infrastructure and knowledge, clinicians and their communities can create tremendous value and become strong contenders to accept emerging risk-based contracts being demanded by payers and employers. Learn the fundamentals of health IT associated with APM risk-bearing arrangements and MIPS, including a peak into how payers manage this risk today. This session will provide insight into growing trends, opportunities and administrative challenges.

Objectives:
1. Identify strategies to implement in your personal practice that will prepare you for the transformations coming your way with MACRA legislative mandated changes.
2. Describe the role of effective data capture starting in 2017 to determine the value of services and healthcare reimbursement under population-based payment (PBP) models being applied effective in 2019.
3. Implement changes in improved data capture that aligns with MACRA essential documentation within the the group practice and among organizational leaders.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
